PIC Grant - Productivity and Innovation Credit Scheme

Under the PIC Scheme, businesses enjoy 400% tax deductions/allowances for qualifying expenditure incurred in any of the Six Qualifying Activities from the Years of Assessment (YAs) 2011 to 2018.  For YA 2013 to 31 Jul 2016, eligible businesses can also exercise an irrevocable option to convert qualifying expenditure of up to $100,000 for each YA into cash, at a conversion rate of 60%. For qualifying expenditure incurred on or after 1 Aug 2016, the cash payout conversion rate will be reduced from 60% to 40%. The PIC scheme will lapse after YA 2018.

IE Singapore’s Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) Grant

The MRA grant supports companies and enterprises that are based in Singapore by financing part of the necessary costs in entering foreign markets. Through MRA grant, companies could apply for up to two (2) applications per year. To be qualified for financial support, your company’s global head office must be located and based in Singapore, with yearly turnover of less than S$100 million.

IE Singapore co-finances up to 70 percent (70%) of the qualified expenses for activities outlined by IE Singapore under the MRA Grant Program, covering $20,000 per enterprise per annum, with the maximum period of project support not greater than six months.

Since April 1, 2015, the list of claimable services under the MRA grant has also been expanded. Companies can now leverage the MRA Grant to fund their internet marketing activities targeted for foreign market. SPRING Singapore ICV Grant

SPRING Singapore ICV or the Innovation and Capability Voucher (ICV) is a simple to access, convenient and straightforward grant and each is valued at S$5,000 per voucher.

SMEs can use ICV grant in upgrading and strengthening their basic business processes in core areas such as Integrated Solutions, which, in turn, can be providers of Customer Relations Management System (CRM).

Technically, all local SMEs in Singapore can apply for an ICV grant if those SMEs meet the criteria set by SPRING Singapore ICV:

  1.  Those SMEs applying should be registered and currently operating in Singapore;
  2.  The minimum local shareholding of those SMEs is 30%;
  3.  The annual turnover of the SME does not exceed $100 million OR has an employment size not exceeding 200 employees

CDG GRANT – Capability Development Grant

The grant defrays up to 70 percent* of qualifying project costs such as consultancy, training, certification and equipment costs. You can take on large scale upgrading projects in areas like increasing productivity, process improvement, product development and market access.

To encourage more SMEs to build business capabilities, the application process for grant support of S$30,000 or less has been simplified. You can look forward to simpler application forms and reduced documentation requirements for such projects.

  3. Group annual sales turnover ≤ S$100m or group employment of ≤200 employees

PSG GRANT – Productivity Solutions Grant

Singapore’s Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG), is a new and powerful scheme designed to empower and boost the productivity of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) by assisting them to upgrade and strengthen different areas of their business operations. The new grant streamlines existing productivity schemes – the Innovation & Capability Voucher (ICV) by SPRING, Landscape Productivity Grant (LPG) by National Parks Board, and the SME Go Digital Programme by Info-communications Media Development Authority.

Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) is Singapore government’s restructured initiative to help SMEs in their digital transformation journey and provide support for adoption of IT solutions and equipment.
